I was raised on a steady diet of Midwestern work ethic where “giving up” was never on the menu. Over a decade in the world of professional design has taught me that it’s often those projects that make you sweat a little that teach you where your true strengths lie.
My creative skillset is well-callused in asking thoughtful questions, pursuing new learning, and collaboratively crafting for design challenges inside and outside of my comfort zone. Because, true design isn’t about hiding the fears or the flaws, it’s about showing how you overcome them.

Whether guest lecturing at a class, conducting portfolio reviews, or coaching young designers, I’m always looking to be the mentor I needed within the world of design.

I keep a sense of wonder as my wayfinder, always exploring new avenues of interest and learning. Because, if you’re not asking new questions or acquiring new skills, you’re not growing.

I’m all about sparking collaborative conversations without making it all about me. I’m passionate about enabling environments of inclusivity, where everyone feels at ease to jump in and share their ideas and inspiration to the mix.

There’s no progress without feedback. I lean in and learn from every interaction. Embracing new insights and constructive criticism helps me refine my work and ensure the growth I experience in my craft doesn’t end, but always evolves.

Ego could have gotten in the way of some of the best creative “aha’s” I’ve ever achieved. Whether it’s taking feedback graciously or recognizing that inspiring ideas can come from anywhere and everyone, I keep my pride out of the picture.

I wear a lot of hats. Literally and figuratively. I just really need one more, I mean they stack for a reason!
My original major was Accounting and I count my lucky stars I ditched it for design.
I have a Kingdom Hearts collection and if you’ve never heard of it before you owe me a drink.
While I’ve told myself I’d never listen to Jazz, the amount I listen to Chill EDM has convinced me I have, in fact, become my father.
I can beat you in Mario Kart. Try me.
